Lately, I have been obsessed with eyeshadows. You will always find me wearing eyeshadow, at least a nude-brown one. My very oily eyelids though, don't let the eyeshadow last more than an hour (I am not being dramatic here). So, I always use a primer! I have tried a lot of eyeshadow primers, but I haven't found my favourite one yet. My last purchase was the eyeshadow primer from Avon (€4.95), which I tried sometimes and I can honestly say it is really good. It has a thick creamy consistency and it is easy to apply. I usually need a small amount for both of my eyelids and I make sure to secure it with a bit of powder on top. This way, the eyeshadows tend to stay 8 to 10 hours without creasing. I am very happy with the results of this primer, especially when it comes with this price. Which is your favourite eyeshadow primer for oily eyelids? Recommendations please!
Yesterday was a mani-day! As i opened my drawer with my endless nail polishes, this one immediately caught my attention! I had never used the Avon nailwear pro+ Racy by the time I got it, so i definitely wanted to try it. With the first coat, it stole my heart. With the second one, it became my favourite nail polish for fall and winter. It is a deep burgundy with a fuchsia tint to it. What a color! In the bottle it looks more of a darker fuchsia, whereas on the nails more of a burgundy one.
As many of you may know, this past year I was doing my master degree in the UK. So, it is quite obvious that I bought way too many things from London which I am really excited to share with you. I used various coupons, as well as the Boots points system and I made the most out of every sale or offer available. I walked around many of my favourite stores and I can say that I know every little detail of Oxford street (hehe!). I really loved how everyone was well-dressed and wearing a full face of makeup no matter the time or the place.
As you can see from the pictures above, I mainly bought makeup products and some fashion stuff too. Both high-end and drugstore products, highlighters, mascara, makeup brushes, foundations, blush palettes, concealers, lipsticks, skincare and haircare products... and the list goes on.
A lot of first impressions and reviews are coming, stay tuned!
Last week I purchased three lipsticks from Lovie, a greek drugstore brand with really affordable products. I have been using them since and I really wanted to share my opinion with you. The first thing I noticed was the packaging, which is really bad. It looks and feels very cheap, and I think that has to do with the very low price of these lipsticks. Also, the lid tends to come off really easily which can cause a mess if you want to take it with you on the day.
No. 2 is a nude-rose lipstick, perfect as an everyday colour. It complements every makeup and looks so beautiful on the lips. It goes on like a dream and it has a creamy consistency that doesn't dry the lips. As it is not a matte lipstick, it doesn't last a long time on the lips but it wears off beautifully.
No. 7 on the other hand, is a difficult-to-explain one as it is something between rose and burgundy. The thing I love about this is that the colour differs depending on the eye makeup or blush that I wear. Hence, it's my favourite one of the three!
Lastly, No. 32 is a more neon fuchsia with a tint of purple. It is beautiful with a more natural eye makeup and it reminds me of summer! It is really girly and it's the one with the least opacity out of the three.
In the pictures below, you can see swatches of the lipsticks, as well as how the look on me.
What is your favourite out of the three? Comment down below!
